18. Apple Daze Festival, Dexter
10 a.m.-5 p.m., October 7, Downtown Dexter
Every year, The Dexter Lions Club sponsors Apple Daze at Monument Park. The celebration includes food, music hayrides to the Historic Dexter Cider, as well as Apple Pie Eating Contest, Classic Car Show, Craft & Vendor Booths, kids games with prizes and more.

16. Harvest Festival Weekend, Howell
October 6-8; 13-15; 20-22
Brighton Recreation Area, 6360 Chilson Road, Howell, MI 48843
Enjoy a fun fall weekend full of festivities and crafts like t-shirt tie-dying, costume contest, pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, a harvest festival dance, site decoration contest and much more! Participation is limited to campers and their guests.
Events take place in the Bishop Lake Campground. Bring your costumes, pumpkins, site decorations, candy for approximately 400 trick-or-treaters and a clean white t-shirt or sweatshirt for the tie-dye activity.
23. Appleumpkin Festival, Tecumseh
October 14-15
The kids will enjoy the midway rides, carnival games, inflatables and make-it-take-it crafts, corn box and kid’s putt putt golf. Plus, helicopter and monster truck rides! Also, there is an Antique Street Fair and Flea Market and Arts & Crafts Show. You can also create a Make-it-Take-it Scarecrow (for free). Plus, four stages for live performances.
Hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. October 14; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. October 15.
