At my house, sometimes Friday night is pizza night. And when it’s pizza night, we’re lucky, because there are lots of great pizza places in town to choose from. They serve all kinds, from Chicago-style deep dish, to New York-style thin crust, and everything in between.
One of my new favorites is NeoPapalis Pizza on William St., right across from Tower Plaza Condos. In addition to pizza, they’ve got salads and sandwiches, with beer and wine available, and all at cheap prices. It’s quick, too.
Although making great pizza doesn’t take too many ingredients–just dough, tomato sauce, and cheese, at its most basic, NeoPapalis uses only the best. Fine flour from Italy for the dough, plum tomatoes for the sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, and drizzles of extra virgin olive oil. It doesn’t get much better than that. But for those of you who insist on piling your pizzas high with toppings, they can do that, too. They offer dozens of toppings that they prepare fresh every day.

Whether you choose to keep it simple, like me, or to pile on the toppings, make sure you eat your pizza there rather than carrying out. It’s best enjoyed right from the oven.
