1. Sunday Artisan Market Opening Day

Kickstarting its 33rd season, the Sunday Artisan Market at Kerrytown opens on April 7th! This open-air market celebrates the talent of local artists, showcasing a diverse array of handmade creations, from traditional to cutting-edge. Admission and parking are free, so come and explore the vibrant arts scene of Ann Arbor.
2. Festifools
When: April 7, 2024
Where: Main Street, Downtown Ann Arbor
Time: 4 – 5 P.M.
Founded in 2007 by Mark Tucker, a University of Michigan professor, FestiFools has become an Ann Arbor tradition. Larger-than-life papier-mâché puppets, crafted by U-M students and community members, take to the streets in a one-hour spectacle at 4:00 pm. Whether you come adorned in a crazy costume, banging on an old pan, or simply as you are, FestiFools is an unforgettable public art experience that adds eccentricity to downtown Ann Arbor.
3. Record Store Day
When: April 20, 2024
Where: Multiple Locations in Ann Arbor
Time: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Record Day is an annual event where local independently-owned record stores and their customers celebrate the unique role record stores play in the community. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day. Here are some of the participating record stores in Ann Arbor: Encore Records, Underground Sounds, Wazoo Records, and Your Media Exchange.
If you’re looking for used vinyl check out the pop-up record fair in the lobby of the Downtown Library! Browse through various vendors’ used records and gear while enjoying the tunes spun by DJs Dave Lawson and DJ Batz.
4. Gardening & Farm Fest 2024
When: April 21, 2024
Where: Downtown Library
Time: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Head to the Library for a daylong celebration of gardening, nature, and hands-on activities! Gardening & Farm Fest features artisans and farmers selling their wares and representatives from local farms who offer CSA(Community Supported Agriculture) programs.
Learn more about CSAs and sign up onsite for a spring or summer CSA. Participate in a seed swap, learn about wild bees, create nature-based crafts, and much more.
5. Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival
Where: Leslie Science & Nature Center
When: April 21, 2024
Time: 1-4 p.m.
Families can celebrate Earth Day at the Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival, a free event hosted at the Leslie Science & Nature Center. Displays, hands-on activities, and live entertainment will educate attendees about green building technologies, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and more. Remember to bring reusable water bottles as this event is zero-waste!
